History of USA Mission

Jesus said you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8).

In mid-August of 2004, Precious People began to actively witness the love of God within its own Jerusalem, the mission field of the poor and homeless in Tulsa.

Present Ministry

The present outreaches of Precious People include a service at 6pm on the second Sunday of every month at a homeless shelter in downtown Tulsa. It begins at 5:45pm with praise and worship. Then the residents have an opportunity to give a testimony of something good God has done in their lives. Jonathan then shares a message from the Word to 100-120 people present. Messages can be heard on the multimedia link at the top of this page. An altar call is given where people have the opportunity to give their lives over to Christ for the very first time or rededicate their lives to Jesus Christ.We often try to give away large print NIV Bibles at these meetings.

We hold these services because we want these people to know that God loves them and that someone cares for them. I have heard the homeless express their appreciation for these outreaches. People are becoming followers of Jesus Christ through the ministry of Precious People!

Ministry to People on the Streets of downtown Tulsa

About once every two months, Precious People has been reaching out with a team to the people of downtown Tulsa to places such as the bus station and one of the homeless shelters.

The team drives out to downtown Tulsa and normally offers people a snack and a Gospel tract. After offering them these items, the team members offer the most important thing of all - the Gospel. Many people are recommitting or giving their lives over to Jesus at these outreaches.
